March 2012, CDI, San Diego, USA. JEC Booth V43: CDI (Century Design Inc), the leading global supplier of prepreg machines and specialist composite processing equipment, will be exhibiting at JEC this year under the new ownership of President Keith McConnell.
With a restructured team, the company will reveal significant growth plans for 2012, launch the new addition to their large range of Prepreg machines, the CDI small production prepreg machine, and also announce the expansion of TIP™, the CDI Total Integration Program for Prepreg technologies.
Developed with ease of use and cost effectiveness in mind, the Prepreg machine is targeted at small to medium composite parts producers who want to better control their materials and processes and reduce their material costs. CDI’s new production prepreg machine has a small footprint, so that the machine can be installed into a range of facilities and boasts enhanced set up and operation features to facilitate both small and large run production and prototyping.
Other features and benefits include:
TIP™ (Total Integration Program) is a fully comprehensive program delivering the design, technology, processes and implementation for advanced composite material manufacturing facilities. Primarily focused around Prepreg manufacturing operations and related downstream activities, TIP ensures that users of CDI prepreg technologies are fully capable and self-sufficient in the implementation of new machinery.
Following its launch last year, CDI is now focused on the expansion of the TIP™ system to cover material certification for all materials and major markets. This new module is designed to provide additional support to customers seeking to enter the composite materials market by providing them a program to insure that they enter the market quickly with the highest quality products.
“CDI is the pioneer in composite material processing machines, with over 54 years’ experience in the development of composite technology. We are all excited about this new phase of development within the organization as well as the opportunity to provide our customers with tomorrow’s cost effective composite processing solutions”, comments Keith McConnell, President of CDI.
